For the past eleven years Guy has been Gun Editor of ‘The Countryman’s Weekly’, the national countrysports newspaper.

His roles include writing four articles weekly on firearms, ammunition, deer stalking and big-game hunting.

He writes under four pseudonyms namely – ‘The Gun Editor’, ‘Homeloader’, ‘Ray charles’, and ‘John Pryce’. He also deals with readers’ queries in relation to the above subjects.

In recent years this has accounted for the bulk of Guy’s writing output along with over 100 books published since 1974.
